Founded in 2025 by Flow Collingwood and Jamie Del Grosso of Pan Galactic (winners of UK Space Tech Startup of the Year), alongside Matthew Child (Former Chief Architect at Space Applications Catapult), Space Humber represents a bold new approach to space sector development.

As the UK's first privately funded space cluster, Space Humber was established to address the need for dedicated infrastructure, support systems, and networks that enable businesses of all sizes to participate in the rapidly growing space economy. The initiative was brought to life by founding partners Wykeland Group, Space Hub Yorkshire, Pan Galactic and TMC3, creating a powerful alliance of property, regional development, technology, and security expertise.

Working hand-in-hand with Space Hub Yorkshire, Space Humber aims to strengthen the wider regional space ecosystem while contributing its own distinct, privately funded programmes and long-term vision for Yorkshire's role in the UK space sector.

What is a Space Cluster?

A space cluster is a concentration of interconnected businesses, suppliers, and associated institutions in the space sector. By bringing together diverse stakeholders in one geographic area, space clusters create an environment where innovation thrives through collaboration, shared resources, and knowledge exchange.

As the global space economy approaches £450 billion by 2030, regional clusters like Space Humber are vital in helping the UK secure its target of capturing 10% of the global space market, while ensuring the benefits are distributed across the nation rather than concentrated in traditional aerospace hubs.
